The tourist and convention office of Marseille has created, since July 4th 2002, a last-minute hotel reservation service - ALLOTEL - in partnership with the hotelkeepers in Marseille. Clients who wish to reserve a hotel room, can dial the public number of this Service. They will get in touch with a interactif answering service that will qualifie their request. The client will choose its geographical district: train station/center of town; coast/seashore; convention centre/stadium; Castellane/Prefecture; Old Harbour (Vieux Port)/Center of town; East Marseille, then a price category will be proposed: less then 30 euros, from 30 to 50 euros, from 50 to 75 euros, from 75 to 120 euros, from 120 euros. Depending on the availabilities, the answering service will propose a hotellist. When the client has made his choice he will get in touch directy with the switchboard of the chosen hotel. If the reservation isn't concluded, the client will return to the hotellist.
